The Benefits Of Lavender Essential Oil
October 15, 2009
Lavender essential oil has been used for many years to relax the body and soothe the mind. However, lavender is not only used for this purpose. It is used for many other things as well. For instance, lavender essential oil when added with a base oil can be massaged into the neck and temples to soothe migraines.
Also, you can relieve muscular tension and eliminate anxiety by combining 1 part lavender essential oil and 6 parts massage oil. Apply lavender oil to burns, wounds, eczema, rashes, boils, stretch marks, bee stings and herpes. You can also treat dry skin, acne, yeast infections and muscular pain with lavender essential oil. The next time you are shopping around for a remedy for something, you might want to consider lavender essential oil.
As much as I love and highly recommend using essential oils as a treatment, nothing can beat a good ol’ run, you would be amazed how much good this does your body and your muscles. Set goals for yourself and whenever you reach them always remember to reward yourself. I myself like to go out and buy new running gadgets, which just encourage me to get into shape more!
