There are all kind of things that we can do to help the environment. The saddest part about it is that we could all have been doing this for years and, if we had, the planet would not be in as much danger as it is now.

Re-using as much water as we can is a big way to make a difference. You’ll also find that it will dramatically reduce your water bill. You can even use you old washing up water by pouring it down the loo instead of flushing it. Mind you, reducing the amount of times that you pull the flush will have a great impact; toilets get through a tremendous amount of water. Remember this;

‘If it’s yellow – let it mellow’

If it’s brown – flush it down.’

Try and use your washing machine as few times as possible. When you do need to do some washing then put it on a cooler setting or an ‘economy wash’.

A lot of people still have the habit of leaving lights on in empty rooms. When you go out of a room try and remember to flick the switch.

The other way to save money and to help the environment is with your heating. Try putting on a jumper instead of the radiators.
