Stress plays a big role in almost every person’s life. Some people can cope with stress better than other people. 1. Breathing - When stressed out, take a few minutes to breath. Make your breaths slow, long and even. Exhale slowly as well. This has an almost instant relaxing and calming effect.

A simple one is to lie down with your eyes closed and begin to tense your all your muscles. Then one at a time release the tension in each muscle and concentrate on relaxing it. After every muscles has been relaxed, begin to breath in and out slowly focusing on each breath.
3. Essential Oils - Inhaling the scent of certain essential oils such as lavender, chamomile, bergamot, sandalwood or ylang-ylang can have a very calming effect. You can add a few drops to your wrists, bath or an oil diffuser to release their relaxing scents.
4. Walking - This is another way to de-stress. Take a walk out in mother nature. Listen to all the sounds of the birds and the wind blowing the tree leaves. Smell the lovely scents of the earth. Walk for about 25 to 30 minutes. You should feel at peace once you are done.
